Mooooo! and Wow!!!!!

This is the WOW!!!!  Look at this, the gate is finally installed and working!!!  Preston and VerLynn and Ray worked their tails off at the ministorage for the last two weeks getting this gate installed.  We are so excited!!!  This is a picture of it in action.

Now to the MOOOO part!  This is the beginning.  You are going to have to stay with me for a minute, but remember this cow

Ok, now this should give you an idea of where that cow is.  (I hope)  this is the upstairs for the ministorage where we built the apt. we stay in.  This is the stairway, well, I guess it is above the stairway actually.  The cow was put there by Nathanael, so you see this little tiny cow every time you go down the stairs.  Stay with me, the next video will explain it all.

Rebekah's baptism

Saturday Rebekah was baptized.  She is so beautiful and so full of love and life.  Verlynn and I were in Rexburg so we went down to Beaver Dam on Saturday for Bekah's baptism.  After she was baptized she told me that she was still perfect because she hadn't fought with anyone all day.  Then she asked me if I thought she could do it for another day and stay perfect for 2 days!  I told her sure!  She is so special,  We love her to pieces!

After the baptism, we all went to my mom and dad's house in Beaver Dam and had a lunch.  This is Garrett eating the water melon and chips

This is Jenna and her cousin (sorry, can't remember her name)  Mark and Cheree's daughter.  Sorry for any misspellings!  Tiffani and Logan and waiting for their turn I guess.  I was a great day, the weather was perfect and the kids loved playing in the yard and barn.

Kyle and Jenna picked apples and gave them to me.

This is Logan, his mouth is full of dirt, looks like he's been eating the ground and he is helping himself to the water melon.  And boy did he love the watemelon, he at it clear down to the dark green on the outside!

This is sweet Megan.  She had a little tiny sweet voice and she is the sweetest little thing.  You can't help but have your heat melt when she speaks to you.

This is my mom and Dad and VerLynn outside the Ward building before the baptism.

Who needs to buy toys anyway?!

We were outside talking to the guy that is helping us get the security gate put up and Preston found his own toys to play with, two empty buckets!  He had me get them out of the back of the u haul van and he had a blast pulling them around everywhere.

Ray is at the ministorage working with us too and he volunteered to cook dinner tonight.  It was great and we loved it.  It was mexican steak on rice.  This is a picture of Melanie and Preston eating together.  She is the most patient mother I have ever seen.  More bucket playing below.  I got them out of order. (I thought this new blog thing the put out was supposed to make it easy to move the pictures, but I can only move them sideways!  Anyone know the trick?)

Uh Oh!

Preston took a literal nose dive on the asphalt and this is the result.  If you look close there is another one at the top of his forehead, his hair is hiding it.  Preston said when he fell his feet went almost straight up in the air while he was on his face.  Poor guy.  It scabbed over and this morning when he woke up he pulled the scab off and then said "ow!" and then tried to put the scab back on!  He is so full of life and energy, he makes me tired just watching him.  How we love our grandkids!

Cant' think of a title name, any suggestions?

I am still in Idaho and Preston and Melanie and their kids came up over the weekend so that Preston could do some work up here. This is a picture of Preston holding his new baby, Porter.

This was hilarious This is Preston with Miles. Miles is the son of the managers of the ministorage. They were so funny to watch. Miles is either kissing Preston on the nose, or trying to teeth on it!

Preston and Miles. I think they thought it was really cool that there was someone close to their own size to play with.

This is Preston wearing a bowel on his head. He had a lot of fun playing with that bowel. Glad we could have such great toys up here for him to play with! ;0)

Rexburg Unplugged

I spent four hours today at this table. I had a bunch of magnets made up with our name and number on them and handed them out to anyone who would walk up. I had the bowel filled with candy. It went real well I think.

Just a shot of stuff around me. They blocked off the whole street and had bands playing. It was aimed at the new college students to know a little more about the businesses in Rexburg. There were a lot of regular residents there too.

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY TO BEKAH!!!!

Today is Rebekah Murdock's 8th birthday. (Tiffani's daughter) She was born on "the" 9/11. We all remember where we were when the twin towers were hit, but on such a horrible day, came the most beautiful little girl to bring happiness to the world. This is Bekah holding Melanie and Preston's new baby.

Taken a few years ago. I don't have any baby pictures of Bekah. We want Bekah to know how much we love her. She is a very special, beautiful and extremely intelligent girl with a personality that lights up the room.

Family and friend bbq

These are random pictures I took yesterday as we were getting ready for the bbq. I didn't take enough, so a bunch of people are not in them, sorry, especially to the grandkids that aren't in the pictures! This one above is of Preston and the shirt that Melanie and Preston made for him to wear! They are sooooo funny!!!

This is Melanie and Bekah (Tiffani's daughter) holding Porter

This is the yumy cake that Barb Anderson and Theresa made for VerLynn for his birthday. It is yummy! It has some kind of a cherry cream filling and frosting.

This is the cake they made for Aaron. It was a big hit and is all gone now, even with the bugs that decided they liked it too!

This is Aaron taking a break in the day and he is holding Connor. He's going to make a good daddy!

This is beautiful Jenna, Bekah and Micah are in the background. She is growing up so fast!

everyone was busy getting ready. This is Trevor and Micah setting up the tables. It rained real hard in the morning and it broke in time to get set up and it didn't start raining for the rest of the day!!!! I love it when the weather men are wrong. The temperature was in the 70's. Another huge tender mercy. One week ago it was 113!

This is Kelsie wearing her new found hat!!! Went shopping in the kitchen cupboards for it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VERLYNN BORN SEPT 5, 1953

Happy Birthday VerLynn remember when we looked this good?

This is VerLynn on his mission, he is the one on the far right and the man next to him is his mission president, President Eberhard and next to him is Elder Ezra Taft Benson

VerLynn loves his grandkids and he isn't afraid to have fun and act goofy with them. This is Brandon

Oh, my why did I put this one on here. VerLynn looks really good and that woman next to him looks like a mop head from the 80's! :0)

This is VerLynn and his best friend, Steve Nielsen. Steve died a few years ago, but it's funny to see that they had to really work to push their bellies out!

This is a picture of VerLynn in 1965.

He's Home and so are We!

All the pictures were uploaded in the wrong order so I am going to just deal with it. This is a picture of Deryk, Aaron, Preston and VerLynn visiting. After we got home today everyone showed up to see Aaron. We were noticeably missing Spencers family (he had to work) and Tiffani's family (they are in Utah) But is was great to have everyone here.

This is Aaron with Preston, Kelsie, and Connor. All of them were born while he was on his mission. Oops, David is missing, he should be in this picture. But Preston isn't shown very well either unless you like the back of people's heads

Aaron and Preston

This is what the back seat of the car looked like the whole way home. We stopped at my Aunt Mildreds house in Knoxville on the way home and she had a bunch of heirlooms and other stuff to give me. We fit it all in and there was even room left for me to sit by the other door.

This is a very poor picture of the doll my Aunt gave to me and my sisters (don't know how we are going to split it in three). It belonged to my grandmother Fisher and is from the 1880's. It was so scary to pack up and bring across the country for fear of breaking it. But it made it all in one piece.

My Aunt Mildred, me and Aaron. (disclaimer, all of the pictures of me back east look really weird because my hair and the humidity didn't get along, the curl wanted to do it's own thing)

This is a picture of the three that were baptized the day after Aaron was released. We stayed so that Aaron could participate, he baptized the daughter, then he confirmed the son on Sunday. Aaron is in the back with what I thought were the two elders that stayed in the area, but one of them is a ward member (on the right) and I think the other one is an elder. I guess I put up the wrong picture. It was a great day and what a neat opportunity for Aaron to be able to be there at the baptism of the family he worked with. What a great ward it was too. We had a great time and enjoyed meeting the people. The all said how much they loved Aaron and what a great missionary he was.
