Halloween and Some of the Grandkids

This is Kelsie dressed like a lady bug.  Aaron thought she was a watermelon and Preston thought she was a , ok senior moment, I can't remember what he thought she was.  She was a little freaked out when Lori put a scary mask on.  Ok, she was a LOT freaked out!

This is Connor in his pumpkin costume.

Here is another Pumpkin,  this is Porter.

Preston was a full fledged cowboy, complete with horse and spurs!  If you squeeze the horses ears it makes horse noises!
I would have pictures of the other grandkids in their costumes but no one else came over!  :0)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DERYK! Born Oct 15, 1977

This is Deryk one day old in the hospital.  VerLynn ran to the store and bought him this little outfit.  Deryk was on 7lbs 1 oz so he was really little.  He actually wound up being the runt of the litter!  If you don't count the girls.  He had a ton of hair, they slicked it all down for the picture.

Can't remember how old he was in this picture.  I think around a year.

I love this picture of Deryk and Tiffani.  I looked outside and they were having a blast in the mud!  Not sure how it got all over their faces!

I'm probably going to be in big trouble for posting this.  Don't look at the mess behind him, he is in a storage room in the basement that hadn't been organized yet.  There was a weight set and bench in there too.

Deryk on his mission in North Carolina

Deryk and Sally on the Wedding Day (obviously!)  Great looking couple!

Deryk and his family today, 3 beautiful children, Brandon, Ashly and David.  Happy birthday, we love you!

Since it is my birthday too, I thought I would throw this in.  I walked into the apartment at the ministorage and this is was I saw as I walked in.  Verlynn, Preston and Nathanael were here all day, I stayed at Tiffani's to watch her kids.  They are on their way home taking the dump truck and the motor home to the job that is starting Monday.  So anyway, I took the shuttle up here tonight and I had a happy birthday surprise waiting for me.  VerLynn got me a card and a necklace and a dvd, Quigley down Under.  (I haven't quite figured that one out yet!)  Preston and Melanie bought me the flowers, they were delivered some time today I guess, because Rachel (the manager here a the ministorage) must have brought them up and I think it was her that added the happy birthday banner.  Thank you to everyone!  It topped off a great day with a wonderful surprise!

Bob the builder, or maybe Grandma the builder?

Seth wanted to build a wall, while we were building it he decided he wanted a wall to put his dinasours in.  So I build this lovely wall and he filled it up.  There are dinasours in there somewhere.  But as you can see he put everything else in there too!  Notice the army men on the top of the wall!

Addie is such a girl.  She has mastered the art of talking on the phone and leaving your hands free for other things!

Notice the texting position!  She is all ready to be a teenager!!  (wonder what life will bring by the time she is a teenager)  Who would have ever thought of everything we have now when I was a teenager?!

Playing Possom

Just a funny story.  Last night I was watching Kelsie and Connor and I took them down to my mom and dad's to say hi.  For some reason Kelsie is scared of my mom and when she saw her she crawled up on my lap.  I had Connor in one arm and Kelsie in the other.  She put her head down (we were facing my mom) and closed her eyes.  Pretty soon she seemed very limp and we all assumed she just fell asleep.  So I got up, with her in one arm and Connor in the other (brings back memories!) and as soon as we got out of their room, Kelsie popped her head up and said Hi!

Happy Birthday Trevor

This is on the day that Trevor and Lori got married

All decked out for Lori's c section

Kelsie and Lori with Trevor on one of their hiking/camping trips.  Trevor loves to hike and he is so good about taking Lori with him.

Proud daddy.  Thanks Trevor for being a great dad and a great husband to Lori.  We are grateful to have you in our family and appreciate all that you do for us.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY KYLE!!!

Kyle is sooooo sweet and loving.  Look at him loving on Megan!

Here he is with Jenna being so sweet again.  He picked apples and was giving them to me.  Kyle is VERY special and has such a sweet tender heart and he is smart as a whip.  But he did tell me he isn't as smart as a 10 year old!  ( I'm not so sure he isn't)  We love you Kyle, hope you had a special day!

Kelsie & Connor

Kelsie is sooooo cute and she is already practicing to be a great woman.  See how she can hold that phone up to her ear and look great at the same time?  :0)

This is Connor.  He loves to arch his head back.  If you orient the picture right, I took it from above the couch.  He is curled in a backward C in the corner of the couch, his feet and legs are against the arm of the couch and his head is against the back of the couch.  Wish I would have taken a better picture of his face, he is so cute

Mooooo! and Wow!!!!!

This is the WOW!!!!  Look at this, the gate is finally installed and working!!!  Preston and VerLynn and Ray worked their tails off at the ministorage for the last two weeks getting this gate installed.  We are so excited!!!  This is a picture of it in action.

Now to the MOOOO part!  This is the beginning.  You are going to have to stay with me for a minute, but remember this cow

Ok, now this should give you an idea of where that cow is.  (I hope)  this is the upstairs for the ministorage where we built the apt. we stay in.  This is the stairway, well, I guess it is above the stairway actually.  The cow was put there by Nathanael, so you see this little tiny cow every time you go down the stairs.  Stay with me, the next video will explain it all.

Rebekah's baptism

Saturday Rebekah was baptized.  She is so beautiful and so full of love and life.  Verlynn and I were in Rexburg so we went down to Beaver Dam on Saturday for Bekah's baptism.  After she was baptized she told me that she was still perfect because she hadn't fought with anyone all day.  Then she asked me if I thought she could do it for another day and stay perfect for 2 days!  I told her sure!  She is so special,  We love her to pieces!

After the baptism, we all went to my mom and dad's house in Beaver Dam and had a lunch.  This is Garrett eating the water melon and chips

This is Jenna and her cousin (sorry, can't remember her name)  Mark and Cheree's daughter.  Sorry for any misspellings!  Tiffani and Logan and waiting for their turn I guess.  I was a great day, the weather was perfect and the kids loved playing in the yard and barn.

Kyle and Jenna picked apples and gave them to me.

This is Logan, his mouth is full of dirt, looks like he's been eating the ground and he is helping himself to the water melon.  And boy did he love the watemelon, he at it clear down to the dark green on the outside!

This is sweet Megan.  She had a little tiny sweet voice and she is the sweetest little thing.  You can't help but have your heat melt when she speaks to you.

This is my mom and Dad and VerLynn outside the Ward building before the baptism.

Who needs to buy toys anyway?!

We were outside talking to the guy that is helping us get the security gate put up and Preston found his own toys to play with, two empty buckets!  He had me get them out of the back of the u haul van and he had a blast pulling them around everywhere.

Ray is at the ministorage working with us too and he volunteered to cook dinner tonight.  It was great and we loved it.  It was mexican steak on rice.  This is a picture of Melanie and Preston eating together.  She is the most patient mother I have ever seen.  More bucket playing below.  I got them out of order. (I thought this new blog thing the put out was supposed to make it easy to move the pictures, but I can only move them sideways!  Anyone know the trick?)

Uh Oh!

Preston took a literal nose dive on the asphalt and this is the result.  If you look close there is another one at the top of his forehead, his hair is hiding it.  Preston said when he fell his feet went almost straight up in the air while he was on his face.  Poor guy.  It scabbed over and this morning when he woke up he pulled the scab off and then said "ow!" and then tried to put the scab back on!  He is so full of life and energy, he makes me tired just watching him.  How we love our grandkids!

Cant' think of a title name, any suggestions?

I am still in Idaho and Preston and Melanie and their kids came up over the weekend so that Preston could do some work up here. This is a picture of Preston holding his new baby, Porter.

This was hilarious This is Preston with Miles. Miles is the son of the managers of the ministorage. They were so funny to watch. Miles is either kissing Preston on the nose, or trying to teeth on it!

Preston and Miles. I think they thought it was really cool that there was someone close to their own size to play with.

This is Preston wearing a bowel on his head. He had a lot of fun playing with that bowel. Glad we could have such great toys up here for him to play with! ;0)

Rexburg Unplugged

I spent four hours today at this table. I had a bunch of magnets made up with our name and number on them and handed them out to anyone who would walk up. I had the bowel filled with candy. It went real well I think.

Just a shot of stuff around me. They blocked off the whole street and had bands playing. It was aimed at the new college students to know a little more about the businesses in Rexburg. There were a lot of regular residents there too.
